A City Called Spain is a book that reflects the landscape of Spanish contemporary architecture, constructing a large city with the most significant elements projected through a magnificent constellation of architects in the first decade of this century.

It is an intergenerational story in which new studios and up-and-coming groups merge with the most established Spanish figures on the international scene.Seeking to draw a portrait of Spanish architecture, constructed by Spanish architects in Spain, the works selected are buildings by teams based in Spain and built or designed in the past 10 years.

The design of the 'city' created is a topographic model formed by maquettes, photos and drawings. While representations of the actual buildings are found on a large map of the Spanish peninsula and islands and cities
