Günther Domenig's extensive oeuvre spans four decades during which he has produced (in Austria and other European countries) architecture of considerable influence. As the most imortant representative of the 'Graz School' his dynamic style with its emphasis on construction has attracted widespread international attention since the days of his famous 'Z' bank branch in Vienna Favoriten (1976-79), leading recently to his winning a prize at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2004 as well as the Great Austrian State Award for Architecture. This book offers for the first time a complete overview of his work, concentrating on the last twenty years; the period during which Domenig built his most important works - such as his legendary 'Steinhaus' in Carinthia and the Nazi Party Rally Grounds Documentation Centre in Nuremberg.
